I used to work in IT and then I got laid off. So now I'm an English major, finishing my BA. I'll be starting a Phd with a focus on Shakespeare next.
I combine these rather highbrow pursuits with, well, writing a lot of Dragon Age fanfic. Specifically, all those stories about Maggie Amell, the *ahem* 'fun loving' maleficar? All my fault. I'm sorry, world.
(how much is a lot? Well, last I checked my absurdly-long fic, Apostates of Amaranthine, somehow just managed to become the longest DA story on ffnet. I'm somehow proud, ashamed, and terrified of that fact all at once.)
